Fluffy beds of chiffon layered with homemade organic guava jam, covered in mint green-coloured whipped cream frosting, and topped with fresh guava slices, the cake is an homage to Monique's childhood and named after her dear Mom.

The fragrant smell of guava and cream that wafts as soon as you open the box was important in the creation of this cake, as the smell conjures memories of childhood summers for Monique, spent playing in her grandmother's home where guava trees grew. The guava jam recipe used in this cake was handed down by Monique's grandmother to her mom, who inspired her to create this cake, and thus was named after her.  

Rich in antioxidants, potassium, fiber, and Vitamin C, creating a recipe from wholesome and fresh ingredients is a nod to Monique's upbringing. Her father, the late Crispin Tancongco was instrumental in creating Del Monte's Guava Juice.
